A note from Bryan
Happy November!
We’re finally getting a little relief from the Houston heat, and I’m looking forward to cooler evenings, family time and everything this season brings.
October started a little slower for us, but things have picked up considerably as the month has gone on. I’m seeing good opportunities for buyers, and the homes we’re presenting and pricing thoughtfully are still getting attention, showings and traction. Every neighborhood and price range tells a different story, so the right plan matters.
If you’re thinking about buying, selling or simply figuring out where you stand, reach out. I’m happy to put together updated comps, talk through your options and help you decide whether a move makes sense for you.
This month, I’m sharing November outings around Houston and Katy, a quick cooler-weather home checklist and a new Italian spot close to home that our family really enjoyed. Thank you for supporting our business. Wishing you and yours a wonderful November and a Happy Thanksgiving! Stay blessed!

November market perspective: Houston and Katy
A More Balanced Market Brings New Opportunities
As we move into the final months of 2026, the Greater Houston and Katy real estate markets continue to shift toward a more balanced environment. Buyers have more homes to choose from, while sellers are seeing the importance of strategic pricing and strong presentation.
Across Greater Houston, the median home price remained relatively stable at $325,000, with approximately 5.5 months of inventory available. Home sales slowed 5.7% year over year, reflecting a more selective buyer pool and the impact of higher mortgage rates.
Locally, Katy continues to attract interest thanks to its established neighborhoods, master-planned communities, schools, and convenient access to Houston. While activity has moderated from the peak summer months, demand remains for well-maintained, competitively priced homes.
What Does This Mean for You?
For buyers, increased inventory means more options, greater negotiating flexibility, and opportunities to explore seller concessions.
For sellers, homes are still selling, but accurate pricing, professional marketing, and thoughtful preparation are more important than ever.
The Bottom Line
Houston and Katy remain active real estate markets. We're seeing a return to a more traditional pace, where preparation, patience, and local expertise can make all the difference.
Whether you're considering buying, selling, or simply curious about your home's current value, the LUXE Realty Team is here to help you make your next move with confidence.
November home checkup
• Get the heat ready: Replace a dirty HVAC filter and arrange a heating-system check before you need it.
• Keep water moving away from the house: Clear gutters, downspouts and yard drains, and check for obvious drainage trouble after rain.
• Find the drafts: Check weatherstripping around exterior doors and windows.
• Prepare for a future freeze: Locate your water shutoff and gather covers for exposed outdoor plumbing. Adjust preparations to the actual forecast.
• Check alarms and outdoor lighting: Test smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, check expiration dates and brighten walkways as evenings get darker.
• Before holiday cooking and hosting: Clean the range hood filter, check appliances and clear dryer lint buildup. Use qualified help where needed.

From Bryan’s Table: rosemary roasted sweet potatoes
A simple seasonal side for a weeknight dinner or Thanksgiving table.
Ingredients
2 lb sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into ¾-inch cubes
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary
½ tsp kosher salt, plus more to taste
¼ tsp black pepper
Optional: a light drizzle of maple syrup
Method
Heat oven to 425°F. Toss sweet potatoes with oil, rosemary, salt and pepper. Spread in one layer on a large sheet pan. Roast 25–35 minutes, turning halfway, until tender and browned. Check early as ovens vary. Taste, adjust seasoning and add maple syrup if desired. Enjoy!

Local spotlight: Tavolina 44 in Katy

We recently visited the new Tavolina 44 with the kids and my in-laws! Italian is one of my favorite cuisines, so I was excited to try another spot close to home and the office.
I had pappardelle with ragù, and we also tried meatballs, Margherita pizza and house-made sujuk—a beef sausage reflecting the menu’s Albanian influence. We enjoyed the food, service and relaxed atmosphere. Definitely check it out at the corner of Westheimer and Peek in Katy!
Check the current menu and hours before going as I believe they’re only open for dinner.
